Nothing like the real ‘thing.’

Let me preface this by saying that John Carpenter’s 1982 film is one of my favorite movies of all-time, let alone in the horror genre. It strikes a perfect balance between exposition and action, and stands the test of time in the visual effects department 30 years later. I really wanted to like this remake, but it’s hard when it just tries so hard to ignore everything that made the original work so well. Check out the review below, I’ll explain further.
